The aptly named Jewels of the Nile combines the buzz of Egypt’s capital city with a fascinating cruise along the lifeblood waterway of country, visiting and exploring the settlements that have played host to countless historical events throughout the millennia. Arrive in Cairo and start your day by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including treasures from Tutankhamun and items dating to 4000 BC. During your visit, view the famed Mummy Room, featuring the remains of ancient Egypt’s pharaohs and nobles, including Ramses II, one of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. After lunch, walk from Bab el-Fotouh to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, where tightly packed stalls display everything from spices and leather goods to jewelry and birds. Enjoy an authentic dinner at the Naguib Mahfouz restaurant. Following your dinner, transfer to the legendary Mena House hotel, your home for the following two nights. DAY 2 - Cairo | Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx Temple, Ride-like-a-local

DAY 4 - Aswan / Kom Ombo | High Dam - Philae Temple - Kom Ombo Temple

Start your day with an early morning visit to Aswan's High Dam and the Temple of Philae. The Old High Dam was built by Sir W. Wilcox on Behalf of the British authorities in 1898. It is constructed of Granite quarried in the Aswan area. At noon, sail to Kom Ombo and stop to visit the great Twin Temple of Kom Ombo. Later on that day, sail to Edfu and arrive by day’s end. DAY 5 - Edfu / Luxor | Edfu Temple - Esna Lock

Start your day by visiting the Temple of Edfu, followed by sailing to Esna. Afterwards, cross the Esna lock where only one or two boats could pass at a time. DAY 6 - Luxor | Colossi Of Memnon - Hatshepsut Temple - Valley of Kings - Karnak and Luxor Temples

Discover Luxor, the world’s largest open-air museum, and start your day by visiting the West Bank and the burial grounds of the Pharaohs including the Valley of the Kings; the Valley of the Queens; and the Colossi of Memnon. The Valley of the Kings is home to many Pharaonic tombs of the New Kingdom, including those of King Tutankhamen and Ramses the Great. DAY 7 - Luxor / Cairo | Salah El Din Citadel
