Breakfast at Hotel, start the tour by visiting the step pyramid of Sakkara, here you’ll discover the first Pyramid built by DZOSER, it is also and the first rock-cut building in the history. We lunch at local restaurant before heading to what is probably the most famous landmark in the world, the Pyramids of Giza. Forget what you’ve read, forget the pictures you’ve seen, because nothing will prepare you for the awe-inspiring emotions you’ll experience when you first set eyes on the only ancient wonder of the world that still exists today—The Great Pyramid. These marvels of ancient architectural skill are guarded over by the steely gaze of The Sphinx, Getting up close and personal with these behemoths of ancient Egyptian architecture is the beginning of your deep dive into what many consider to be the most humbling of travel experiences. There aren’t many places in the world where you can literally feel the weight of thousands of years around you. But standing beside, on, and within these colossal tombs brings about an experience unlike any on earth, then board your own Camel ‘ship of the desert’ for a sunset camel ride.
We take dinner this evening aboard a cruise on the swirling waters of the Nile River, complete with a traditional Egyptian show.
By now you’ll be completely immersed in Egyptian culture, and this only intensifies today. After breakfast at the hotel we head to the safari wonder that is Africa Park. This opened in 2004 and is the only open zoo/safari park in the whole of the Middle East. It’s a wonderful forested area that offers the chance to get up close to some of Africa’s gentle indigenous fauna, and then take a boat trip along the park’s river to see some of the more ferocious in their natural habitat, such as crocodiles and hippos. Rare reptiles are also a big draw, as are Cobras, Turtles, Jarboa, and Falcons. We then drive to Alexandria for a well-earned lunch at the Fish Market Restaurant. Enjoy a tour of the city’s highlights; The catacombs of Kom El Shokafa that date back to the 2nd century, the impressive, 30-meter-high column that’s known as Pompey’s Pillar, and hewn from a single piece of red Aswan granite, and the Ancient library of Alexandria. This was one of the largest and most significant libraries in the ancient world, and is the most famous library classical antiquities. After a full day of exploration, we drive back to the hotel for some well-deserved time to unwind for the evening. RAMSES HILTON HOTEL
